Marbodal opens new ”speedy warehouse”

On January 8, Marbodal’s newly built warehouse celebrated its grand opening on the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden. The warehouse will serve professional customers in Greater Stockholm (builders’ merchants, retail stores and other resellers) with a basic assortment that can be picked up or delivered in only two hours.

The 1,000 square-metre space will stock white cabinet carcasses and the most popular door models, in addition to full-length worktops and a selection of sinks. A few flat-pack cabinets will also be available soon.

"Stockholm is a major market for us and we are happy that we can offer our business-to-business customers this service, which means that they in turn will be able to obtain material much faster than if they had been ordered from the factory in Tidaholm," says Tor Fjaestad, sales director at Marbodal.

Carpenters who quickly need material for a pantry or consumers who want to fix the kitchen in their country home over the weekend can order what they need from one of Marbodal's resellers and pick it up within two hours until 5:00 p.m. Or they may have it delivered by one of two daily delivery routes.

The warehouse is operated by Marbodal's logistics partner, Bengt Hildemar Transport, which also handles deliveries.
