Nobia strengthens Group Management
Nobia is modifying its Group Management function and strengthening it with clearer overall responsibility for the company. The Group Management will be reduced to six people. The purpose of the change is to bring about further improvements in support, follow-up and knowledge transfer between business units.
Two new positions of Vice President Operations are being created. Gary Favell, Business Unit Manager at Magnet, and Preben Bager, Business Unit Manager at HTH, are being appointed to these positions.
The Group Management will be comprised as follows:

Preben Bager, Vice President Operations, Business Unit Manager HTH
Gary Favell, Vice President Operations, Business Unit Manager Magnet
Ingemar Tärnskär, Vice President Production/Purchasing/Logistics
Peter Petersson, Vice President Business Development/Human Resources
Lennart Rappe, Executive Vice President and CFO
Preben Bager, Vice President Operations, Business Unit Manager HTH
Gary Favell, Vice President Operations, Business Unit Manager Magnet
Ingemar Tärnskär, Vice President Production/Purchasing/Logistics

The changes are being made in accordance with the decentralised form of organisation that has been an important factor in Nobia's success. As previously, the operations of the twelve business units will be run with a high degree of independence and with local responsibility for markets and profitability.
The changes will take effect as of 1 January 2003.
