Relocation of kitchen production from Älmhult to Tidaholm
The relocation of Nobia's kitchen production from its plant in Älmhult to the one in Tidaholm is scheduled to take place in March 2011. As a result, approximately 75 employees in the plant organisation in Älmhult will be laid off and around 50 persons will be recruited in Tidaholm.
"Since the negotiation process commenced in June, our employees have worked exceptionally hard to maintain high delivery compliance. I would like to commend and thank them on behalf of myself and all our customers," says Ingemar Tärnskär, President of Myresjökök.
The reason for the concentration of the kitchen production to Tidaholm is to strengthen Nobia's competitiveness through fewer and larger production units.
A number of employees will relocate and assume positions in the Tidaholm plant. Adaptation work for employees concerned has commenced and the relocation is scheduled to be fully completed in April 2011.
The marketing and sales organisation in Älmhult will not be affected by the production relocation.
